Pastor Terry Owens visits
Keystone
Students and faculty in grades 3-6 were both spiritually
challenged and entertained in chapel on Thursday (02/01) by Pastor Terry Owens
of the Maranatha Church of God in Fort Wayne, who held their attention
captive. The presentation included verbal sparring with "Frosty", who taught
valuable lessons on giving of our resources to God. Through student
involvement, the truth was colorfully "brought home" that while man looks on
the outward appearance, God looks on the heart. All were comforted with the
truth of Jeremiah 29:11 that ..'I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a
hope' (NKJV) and challenged to follow the Lord and obey His commands. Students
were invited to place their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Pastor Owens will return to Keystone School (Laverne Campus) next Tuesday,
February 6 to present his challenging and entertaining program to grades
PreK-2. Any and all are invited to attend the program in the gym from 8:10 -
8:45 am.
