Project #060-0094
Central Europe
Jonathan presently serves as the missionary Regional Superintendent for Central Europe- Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia. He, his wife, Daniela, and son are also pioneering a new church in the city of Prague.
Biographical information...
I grew up on a farm in Nebraska before going to Vanguard University in
California and then on to missionary work in Bulgaria for 11 years. Daniela was
born in Sofia, Bulgaria and worked with IBM and Radio Free Europe prior to
serving as a leader in the Sofia Church of God youth group. Both of us graduated
from the COG Theological Seminary with Masters of Divinity in 1995 and returned
to Bulgaria to start the Bulgarian Theological College in Stara Zagora. After
pioneering the college and a work with homeless children and releasing these
ministries to teams which we discipled, God called us to establish a new
ministry in Prague, Czech Republic, where the Church of God had no existing
work.
From the Heart...
As we prayed for Central Europe, God spoke the word “Antioch” to us. This
word encompasses the promise and vision we have for the region. This will be a
ministry hub where ministry will flow to this entire part of the world. To
accomplish this, we are presently laboring together with faithful national
ministers to establish a network of strong churches in major cities of Central
Europe, beginning with Prague (Czech Rep.), Krakow (Poland) & Debrecen
(Hungary).
