Daniel and Jill Winiger

April 30th: Non-event

Thank you for praying with us regarding the public gathering of witches, neo-Nazis, and New Agers on April 30th in the Heidelberg area. According to eyewitness and newspaper reports, this evening truly turned out to be a “non-event.” There were some fire-blowers, magicians, and other carnival type events but no organized “prayer” or occultic activity. We praise God that, though 10,000 people were reported to have attended, the impact of this event was minimized.

Miracles and Answers:

Marlaina Anderson is truly on the path to complete healing and deliverance. She has now begun to meet with a born-again Christian counselor on a weekly basis, listens to Christian music, has begun praying and reading the Word daily, and has attended church with us. She and John are on the road to healing in their marriage, and we rejoice to see God’s restoration in these lives. Daniel recently prayed together with Horst, a home cell group leader, for a young boy named Peter who had suffered with a mysterious elevated fever for 3 weeks. Together, they rebuked the fever and prayed for his healing. He was restored to health the next day!! Just this week, Daniel met with Dirk and Nicole, a German couple we mentioned long ago that resides here in Meckesheim. Nicole is very close to a nervous breakdown, and Daniel asked if he could pray with her. She agreed, though they are unbelievers. After he left, she told her husband that she felt a warmth from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet and that peace was settling on her! She wanted to know what Daniel had done to her. Dirk came by and asked – we simply replied it was the presence of the Lord! No magic spell, just the healing presence of the Holy Spirit. They want to meet this Friday for visiting (and we will pray with them again).

Church of God Doctrine to Press: In May, Daniel placed the finishing touches on the German translation of the Church of God Doctrine. It has now gone to press and will be printed in bound book form. This was exciting to learn!

Intercession continues: For 2 months, Daniel and I have met with Sasha (the Leimen church worship leader) and Elke ( a prayer warrior) for intercession each Tuesday morning. Recently, the Lord has visited us in powerful ways, granting us fresh insights, songs, and scripture. We witnessed some breakthroughs in the recent Wake Up conference with the youth, though there are also many obstacles still remaining.

40-day Fast Completed – Direction granted

We completed a 40-day partial fast from the end of April and throughout May. It was a powerful time. We were given a spiritual dream as well as prophetic confirmations which have confirmed direction we had felt for some time. We will soon share of what we sense God has placed upon our hearts. It is a big vision, but is God-inspired and therefore altogether possible.

Upcoming Travel: Please pray as we prepare to travel to America for summer studies and the International General Assembly. It is always a challenge traveling with our 2 young fellows, and turbulence is never Daniel’s friend (he suffers terrible motion sickness). We appreciate your intercession on our behalf.
